City Life
by Ashlee Wisdom

Yall Wanna know about da city well i'm gonna tell yall da truth
Cause I don't believe In sugarcoating or lying whats Da use
Da city is the place were dreams are killed or come alive
But down here is were you really have to work to survive
getting from here to there Is a hussel no matter how you put it
There is traffic if you use public transportation or even if you "foot It"
Round here you gotta look out for yourself or your deaded
you gotta know who you are and you gotta know were your headed
There is so much happening and a lil' too fast
You have to be at attention at all times or else you wont last
You gotta focus on your and learn from your past
But most importantly you gotta have cash
Da city is all about moving and moving quickly so you need dat dough
and if you don't have any it's as simple as dis... you just don't go
I'm here to inform you about da real city not da one on T.V. so if you didn't know well now ya know
There is so many things to do down here
but to fit in you can't or have to act as if you have no fear
Da city is fun cause there is so much to do
It's a place were you can express your self freely and just "Do You"
Beneath the noise and da Highrise buildings lies a place of unity and care
New York City is my hometown and a place i'm happy to share!
