Fingerprints
by Tifffany T. Allen

I've had my share
of good and bad days,
of sunny and rainy weather,
of novel trends and raves.

Sometimes it's hard to remember
if any factor remains the same
friends have betrayed me,
relationships caused me pain.

No one has been there throughout my life
except the ones who gave it to me.
One is not "of this world"
the others and I share a tree.

When I look back at any experience
and wonder how it was resolved
I always find three pair of fingerprints
and know that they were somehow involved.
