T his former newspaper building has been redeveloped as a luxury hotel. It is renowned for both its service, and its art. Before it opened, the hotel went on a buying spree, acquiring hundreds of original pieces of art and displaying them in both the public areas, and in the guest rooms. The building, itself is Edwardian and also a “flatiron” design, filling an odd wedge in the urban layout. The apex of this wedge is crowned by a copper dome which adds a focal point and perfectly accents the exterior architecture.
