  • At the time of its completion, this was the tallest building in Phoenix and Arizona.
  • Some web sites incorrectly report that this building can be seen in the original version of the film Psycho. This is incorrect. It is another hotel that is seen in the 1960 movie. It can, however, be seen in the 1998 remake of the film.
  • The massive transmission antenna on the top of the building was added in the 1940's for KPHO Television.
